The new liability insurance policy is effective 11/1/2007 thru 11/1/2008. Events in November 2007 needing certificates of insurance should start seeing those arrive shortly.
The General Aggregate has been raised to $2 million. Excess coverage is still available to those events requiring it. For an entity to receive excess coverage they must also submit a contract or permit requiring this additional coverage along with the certificate request form.
Also keep in mind that all of the information that is on the Certificate of Insurance is taken from the Request for Certificate of Insurance Form. The Event Organizer will be listed under the Insured along with USA Track & Field. The Event Organizer should never be the Insured as well as the Certificate Holder.
Event organizers should take note that USATF requires a reciprocal certificate if the third party is serving food or beverage at the sanctioned event.
USATF no longer "snail" mails certificates. Certificates can either fax or emailed to event organizers.
