GENERAL INFORMATION: The 2005 USATF Region VIII Junior Olympic Track & Field Championships will be held in Madison, WI at Mansfield Stadium located at Memorial High School. The Junior Olympic Championships will be contested July 7-10, 2005. Mansfield Stadium does not have facilities to conduct the steeplechase, therefore, this event will be held at the Univiserity of Wisconsin's Dan McClimon track located near the UW Hospital. Specific scheduling details are available in the event schedule. A downloadable map of the Madison Area is available. This map has two push-pins circled in red identifying the two track facilities. ENTRIES & RESULTS: Jon Krupa of Harrier Software Solutions, LLC will be handling entries, timing services and results. The entry deadline for electronic entries is Monday June 27, 2005. Paper entries are due to the WI USATF office by Wednesday June 29, 2005. The performance lists are now available online. Please review the accuracy of the entries and contact your association if something is inaccurate. Entries were last updated 2005-07-07 8:45 PM Results will be posted to the WI USATF and Harrier Software Solutions websites after each day of competition. ATHLETE CHECK IN PROCEDURE: Please be advised of the athlete check in procedure. This procedure is the same as it has been in prior year Regional competitions. Athletes will report to registration to pick up their race number. Next, athletes MUST report to the declaration clerks to declare their intention to participate in the events they are registered for. Failure to do so will result in the athlete being scratched. The declaration window closes 45 minutes prior to the posted start of the event (all divisions). Be there early!!! Finally, athletes will report to the clerk of course to receive their heat and lane assignments as well as hip numbers. See the Region VIII Passport document for further details.
